Terms of Service

QR Studio provides an HTTP API and dashboard to generate QR codes, including static QR codes and dynamic redirects with scan analytics, custom domains, and bulk generation.

You must provide accurate information at signup and keep your password and API keys secret. You are responsible for any activity under your account or API keys. Notify us immediately at hello@qrstudio.agency if you suspect unauthorized access.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including for non-payment, abuse of the API, attempts to circumvent rate limits, or generation of illegal or fraudulent content.

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe in your selected currency (CAD or USD). You may cancel at any time via the customer portal — your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period.

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on a customer's first paid month, no questions asked. After that, refunds are issued at our discretion for service interruptions covered by our SLA. Service credits are calculated per the SLA and applied as account credit.

Free tier usage is unlimited for static QR codes but capped at 5 dynamic QRs and 100 dynamic-QR scans per calendar month. Once the scan cap is reached, dynamic QR scans redirect to an upgrade page until the next month or until you upgrade.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Distribute malware, phishing, or content that violates law
• Generate QR codes pointing to illegal, harassing, or fraudulent destinations
• Abuse the API beyond your plan's quotas via concurrent or distributed requests
• Resell the Service as your own without an Agency or Enterprise plan
• Reverse-engineer or scrape the Service

We monitor for abuse and may block or terminate accounts. We may also disable specific dynamic QRs found to point to malicious destinations.

The Service, including the rendering pipeline, dashboard, and brand, is owned by QR Studio and protected by copyright and trademark law. You retain ownership of the content you submit (URLs, vCards, logos, etc.). You grant us a limited license to use that content solely to provide the Service.

We aim for high availability per our SLA, but the Service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that QR codes will scan on every device. You are responsible for testing QR codes before printing at scale.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or business interruption.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of the judicial district of Montréal, except where consumer protection laws give you the right to local courts.

We may update these Terms. We'll notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
